The journal Salt and Light (formerly titled The Faith Once Delivered) is an informal yet scholarly publication devoted to Biblical Christianity. Published aperiodically, it is a compilation of advanced topical Bible studies by Russell L. Harris, and discussions by the same author of matters vital to the Christian way of life.
Journal articles are practical and down-to-earth, the emphasis being upon determining through sound scholarship what the Bible really says. The articles cut through centuries of erroneous tradition which has hidden the meaning of vital passages of Scripture; they expose false doctrines; and they reveal hidden assumptions which have impaired a proper understanding of many passages. Most importantly, they approach the Scripture with a correct understanding of the identity of the so-called "Gentiles", and with an appreciation of the need to discern the use of figurative language.
The journal is written at a level which will appeal primarily to the pastor-teacher of a local assembly, or to the leader of a home Bible study group. However, the journal presupposes no academic background in theology, and thus is suitable for any Christian having a genuine desire to understand the deeper things of the Word of God.
